Overview

Real or AI? is a visual guessing game from Italian Bros. This policy explains the limited information used to run challenges, optional player accounts and following, global statistics, advertising, purchases, and app reliability.

Game and account data

The app may create a random anonymous Firebase identifier to maintain the session, but guest scores are not included in global statistics. Only players who create or sign in to a username account contribute daily and category results to Firebase. Limited game information—such as challenge, category, score, answer count, streak, accuracy, username, and submission time—is used to prevent duplicate daily submissions and calculate global statistics and leaderboards.

You may optionally create an account using a public username and password. We derive a private, app-only authentication alias from the username so Firebase Authentication can manage sign-in without requiring an email address. You may later attach an email for verification, password reset, and cross-device sign-in. Firebase Authentication processes the password and attached email. The game stores a one-way email hash for exact recovery lookup and an encrypted sign-in route; it does not publish the email or store it in plain text in public player records. Your username, game summary, category records, and following list support public stats and one-way follows. We do not ask for your name, phone number, contacts, or precise location.

Your streak, daily history, lifetime accuracy, settings, and ad-free state are stored locally on your device. Normal app updates preserve this storage; deleting the app, clearing its data, or using Reset All Progress removes the local copy. Signed-in summary stats are merged with the account so another local snapshot cannot overwrite them. Signing out does not delete a created account.

Advertising

The free app uses Google Mobile Ads and Google’s consent tools. Google may process device identifiers, coarse location derived from network information, advertising data, product interactions, and crash, performance, or other diagnostic data to deliver, measure, secure, and improve ads. The app requests non-personalized ads. Consent choices may be presented where required by law.

Purchases

The optional Ad-Free Monthly auto-renewable subscription is processed by Apple on iOS or Google Play on Android. It renews monthly unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. We receive only the transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock, validate, manage, and restore ad-free access. We do not receive your complete payment-card information. Prior yearly subscriptions and original permanent Remove Ads purchases remain honored.

Sharing and retention

We share information only with service providers needed to operate the app, including Google Firebase, Google Mobile Ads, Apple, and Google Play. Daily and category submissions are retained to maintain challenge statistics, records, and duplicate-prevention. When you delete an account in the Friends tab, its username, profile, follow relationships, authentication record, recovery-email lookup, and public player summary are removed. De-identified game submissions and aggregate records remain so shared statistics stay accurate. Local game data remains until you reset it, uninstall the app, or your operating system removes it.

Children

Real or AI? is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal contact information from children.

Your choices

• Reset local progress from the app’s Settings screen.
• Create, sign in to, and delete your optional username account from the Friends tab.
• Attach and verify an optional email or sign out from Settings.
• Follow or unfollow players by public username.
• Use your device and regional consent controls for advertising choices.
• Subscribe to Ad-Free Monthly or restore an eligible purchase to stop category interstitial ads.
• Manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Delete a username account from the Friends tab after confirming its password.
• Contact us to ask a privacy question or request help concerning a game submission.
